MAX MailArchive archives each message in multiple geographically distributed data centers.  Messages are encrypted (via AES 256-bit encryption) and stored in read-only, tamperproof format, with checksum technology used to validate message integrity. What’s more, transmission of messages between your customer and the archive can be handled exclusively through secure protocols - including HTTPS and IMAPS and the "Legal Hold" facility allows retention of messages past their normal retention date.
